Andrea Spadafora hails from the City of Salerno in southern Italy, where he started playing drums at the tender age of 10. By sixth grade he was entertaining classmates by drumming with pens and pencils on his desk; by the age of 14 he was drumming in his first cover band, and was soon taken under the tutelage of the great Italian teacher, Gaetano Fasano.

In the following years, he played in a number of outfits before leaving Italy for the bright lights and big cities of the United States in 2005. He became a US Citizen in 2012. In July 2016 he moved to sunny Colorado from the DC Metro Area and he is now based out of Fort Collins.

Andrea has always considered the art of drumming as a powerful universal language that transcends limitations of geographical distance and barriers, cultural and political differences, and also as a wonderful way to be at service to the world with his God-given talents by communicating messages of unconditional love, peace and unitedness among the human race.

His mission as an entertainer is having his audiences dance their butt off to his funky-fresh grooves, and have a great time.

Andrea cites a wide array of influences on the drum kit, including but not limited to Jonathan Moffett (drummer for Michael Jackson and the Jacksons), Stewart Copeland of “The Police”, Vinnie Colaiuta, John Bonham, Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez, Buddy Rich, Carter Beuford, Aaron Comess of the “Spin Doctors”, and numerous other “monsters” of the drums. Andrea says his style is a blend of all these amazing influences and he strives to improve his musical skills every day.

Andrea uses DW Collector's Series drums and snare, Zildjian cymbals, DW 9000 series pedals, Evans and REMO heads, and Vic Firth 5BN sticks.

These days Andrea performs regularly at the local weekly Open Jams in Northern Colorado and he is currently waiting for the “stars to align” to form or join a band with the right “chemistry”.

He is also available as drum-kit instructor at the Music District in Fort Collins located at 639 South College Ave, where he currently runs his weekly project called "Drum Rudiments Bootcamp for Beginners and Intermediate Level Rockers". More information at the following links:
