Bryce Feist is from South Dakota and lives in Parker CO; been in CO since 1990. He started playing drums at age 9; Been playing in bands since he was 16. He is self taught. He says, "I took 3 or 4 lessons many years ago and it just wasn’t my thing. Still learning all the time though." When asked what inspired him, he stated that "the bands of the 70’s inspired me to play drums along with my older brother’s music collection. The challenge of playing live and constantly learning is still inspiring." Drummers he admires are too many to mention but for starters- John Bonham, Ian Paice, Stewart Copeland, Neil Peart, Brian Downey, Steve Smith and all the drummers that are committed to playing live week after week. Bryce currently plays in a local Denver based band called VIVID BLACK. In 2018, we will be celebrating 8 years together as a band. A lot of other bands prior to that. When asked what Bryce's musical philosophy is, he said, "Music plays a big role in my life. It always has. It’s hard to balance it all with family, work and schedules but being passionate, dedicated and true to yourself, it somehow all works out."
